The Wandin Blacksmith Group is located at the Historic Mont Delancey in Wandin North. Every Sunday between 9.00am and 4.00pm there are between 6 to 12 blacksmiths working at the forge. The forge itself is the largest in Victoria with six permanent forges and more than six mobile forges. There is also a spring hammer, a 25kg power hammer and a 50kg power hammer and a myriad of tools. The blacksmiths work on a variety of projects from the functional to the artistic, gates, scrolls, decorative knives, toys and artwork. The blacksmiths’ wares are on display and available for sale. The smiths are more than happy to explain what they are working on and answer any other questions you may have.
The Wandin Blacksmith Group is close to local wineries, cherry and berry farms as well as Tesselaar Tulip Farm. Only a 10 minute drive from Lilydale and the Silvan Reservoir.
