Buxton is a small township consisting of a general store, a fishing and outdoors supplies, a town hall, a primary school and several bed and breakfast options. It's also home to the famous Buxton Trout & Salmon Farm, the first trout farm in Australia.
Set up above the Black Spur you can visit here on your way to the neighbouring towns of Marysville or Narbethong. It's a wonderful quiet rural spot with a backdrop of the Cathedral Ranges only another 9kms away. It's the perfect place to stop and hide away in nature.
