Narbethong

Narbethong is found on the Maroondah highway under two hours away from Melbourne and only twenty minutes, and a spectacular drive through the stunning Black Spur, from Healesville. Once you arrive it's only ten minutes up the road to Marysville and Buxton. Narbethong certainly feels 'a million miles from home', in the most relaxing way possible, but is close to wonderful facilities and natural atractions that the whole family will enjoy.

Narbethong was first settled by Europeans in about 1865 by Frederick Fisher. Fisher built a 12-room hotel, the Black Spur Inn, on the road which was being built to link Melbourne with the new goldfield at Woods Point. The Black Spur Inn still stands to this day and provides many a traveller with a meal and travel break when exploring this area.

Narbethong is often the place day trippers collect their snow play and ski hire needs. Whilst here enjoy the Yarra Ranges National Park on foot or your mountain bike, take in the fresh air and enjoy the scenic drive. If it's a total retreat into nature you're after - this is the perfect place to find yourself.
