Early this October, boutique wineries across the Yarra Valley will throw open their doors for two days of fabulous food, wine, live music and entertainment.
Now in its 17th year, Shedfest was established by the Yarra Valley Smaller Wineries Association to showcase the unique charm of family owned wineries and vineyards across the region.
Tucked away in rarely explored pockets of the Yarra Valley, what these wineries lack in size they make up for in quality and personality.
During Shedfest, visitors can experience some of the most spectacular views of the valley while listening to live music, tasting award-winning wines and enjoying dishes that have been passed down through the generations.
The roving festival is the perfect way to meet the families behind the wine and explore the Yarra Valley. With plenty of food available on the day from snags, to tortillas to Nonna’s famous gnocchi, there’s a menu choice for everyone. All participating wineries offer savoury and dessert options and also cater to children.
An early bird special is available online or entry tickets can be purchased at the first winery you visit, which includes a Shedfest glass permitting you entry and tastings at all other participating wineries on both days.
Net proceeds from the entry are given back to the community each year through donations to a local community group.
When: Saturday 13 October – Sunday 14 October 2018
Time: 10am – 5pm (both days)
Where: Participating wineries across the Yarra Valley – including the Warburton, Maroondah and Melba Highways from Healesville, Yarra Glen, Seville and beyond.
