OK so it’s not technically an Easter Egg but Four Pillars Gin Distillery have their own exclusive block of chocolate that is made with…wait for it… the aromatics from their own Rare Dry Gin. At $7.50 a block, you’ll probably buy two or many), and it’s hard to leave without a gin flight tasting or one of their gin-based cocktails. All weekend.
Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery, Yarra Glen
The heartland of chocolate in the Yarra Valley, you can also enjoy a delicious decadent chocolate dessert in the café, and wait for it, a glass or two of local Yarra Valley wine on the deck while the kids run off the sugar high on the lawn. All weekend. Phew!
Mandala Wines and DiVino Ristorante, Dixons Creek
(Sunday 21 April) – Easter weekend only wine releases and specials – yes, you read that correctly! Take your place at the table for a DiVino Ristorante lunch that will satisfy your yearnings for an Italian experience, and then relax on the lawn with live music and games to keep the long Sunday vibe alive. There’s no work the next day and no rush to get home!
The kids will be filling their baskets at Mandala’s first annual Easter Sunday Easter Egg hunt, taking place at the Cellar Door at 2pm while you refill your glass.
