The geese are the first to greet you, honking away merrily, as you turn into the driveway, and as you drive up towards the house you look out over views of rolling hills, green paddocks and grazing animals, which causes an immediate sense of calm to wash over you as it sinks in that this is home for the next few days.  For those of you wanting to holiday with your dog, Wiggley Bottom Farm offers your pooch 15 acres to bound around on in the morning sun, tail wagging and ears bouncing as if to say, ‘Finally, we can holiday as a family!’ Wiggley Bottom Farm is all about the animals, both yours and theirs.

Pet-Friendly Accommodation

In addition to the delightful geese you’ll also find characters who’d love to meet you and enjoy a pat such as the resident miniature goats and horses. Plus we have three dogs who may be at the farm when you are, and they’re part of the welcome committee and will make you and your own dog feel right at home. Whether you book the cottage, apartment or house, you’ll find a welcome basket full of goodies waiting for your four-legged friends including treats, a chewy toy and the all essential ball.

Walking into your accommodation is like stepping into the pages of an interiors magazine with contemporary, fashionable styling and all the comforts of home, all of which ensures that your stay at Wiggley Bottom Farm is restful and relaxing as you’re in such pristine surrounds. With three accommodation options to consider, you’ll easily find a stay to suit your group and personality.

The pretty weatherboard cottage is spacious and modern with bright, cheery furnishings and sleeps 3 in its king size bedroom and sofa bed in the sitting room. You will be delighted with the kitchen – it has everything you could possibly need - spacious bathroom (shower only) and cosy Coonara (perfect for winter getaways). This is the ideal hideaway for a couple looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life, and with an outside kennel and small secure garden, your dog can enjoy your holiday too.

The self-contained apartment is trѐs chic and the perfect size for a couple, though can sleep 4 thanks to the luxurious sofa/double bed in the sitting room area. You access it via its own entrance, through a gated garden, (perfect for your pooch), and up onto your charming covered deck – where you can enjoy breakfast overlooking rolling lawns and look forward to fabulous west facing sunsets at the end of the day. Adjoining the main house, it’s also a great option for a group travelling together, as at the turn of a key, it interconnects with the main house. The gorgeous bedroom has great wardrobe space, a beautiful window seat, plus a lovely separate sitting room area, with well-designed kitchenette and full bathroom giving you the option of a shower or long soak in the bathtub.

The main house lends itself to a great family holiday, offering the ultimate in style, space and creature comforts. You’ll love the elegant sitting room with its impressive open fireplace, and fabulous open plan kitchen dining room, designed with entertaining in mind, (wait til you see the enviable kitchen including double stove top and butler’s pantry)!  Gather for meals around the 8 seat dining table, or take your meal al fresco year round as French doors lead out to a tremendous covered entertainment deck that runs the length of the house. Even the master bedroom has French doors out to the deck, plus a walk through dressing room and stunning ensuite (with twin vanity, claw foot bath and large shower). It’s a house where everyone can enjoy their own space, and the study/reading room lends itself to a quiet afternoon tucked up with a good book and doubles as a second bedroom offering a comfortable double sofa bed.

Wiggley Bottom Farm has been described as ‘a slice of country heaven, in a league of its own’. It offers all the benefits of being on a rural property, surrounded by grazing animals and lush greenery, with privacy, sunsets, majestic views and impressive starry night skies all while being within a stone’s throw from all the main attractions of Healesville.  Because in addition to exploring the farm and meeting the animals there is plenty to see and do nearby – Healesville Sanctuary is virtually a neighbour, as are wineries, cellar doors and first class restaurants.  Speaking of food – we can arrange for chef-cooked meals to be in your accommodation ready for your arrival for you to enjoy during your stay, or a chef to cook for you if you’re staying in the main house and wanting a celebration. And if you’re after a private wine tour (with or without your pets), let us know because we can book that for you too.
