Spring is here and so, on the horizon, is Yarra Valley Open Studios! It’s set to be very different from previous years, but what isn’t these days? Participating artists have shown admirable flexibility in their willingness to try new ways of bringing their studios to you, and it’s coming together beautifully.

From November 14 to 29 a virtual group exhibition will be held online at yava.org.au/openstudios which will showcase works from all artists, giving you a taste of what to expect when you enter their virtual studio.  It’s the best spot to start your Open Studios tour, and is the hub for all the information you’ll need to navigate the Open Studios schedule.

Over three weekends, artists will hold scheduled talks, demonstrations and virtual studio tours artists. You can pick and choose which of these appeals to you (just like the old days!), and will be able to attend through the YAVA website, which will act as a portal for access.

Artworks will also be available for purchase via our dedicated online store: this is a great way for artists to sell their work, as in-person sales are so diminished. It also just happens to be an excellent resource for seasonal present buying!

In the meantime, watch out for member profiles on Facebook and Instagram – artists are untiring in their creative output, and you’ll be impressed with their dedication and creativity.

REGISTER now at yava.org.au/openstudios – It’s FREE!   The artists are keen to connect with you all soon via live chats, panels, demonstrations & virtual studio tours - the calendar of events will be published shortly.
