Australia Day in the Yarra Valley - 22rd - 26th of January 2016

Yarra Yering bottles Wine Tasting

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery (23-26 Jan)

Sweet celebrations are in store when the European Chocolatiers turn their hands to classic Australian desserts over the Australia Day Long Weekend. They will be going into Lamington overdrive with the Café serving 'baked daily' giant lamingtons, lamington macarons, lamington ice cream and a decadent lamington hot chocolate. The 5 metre truffle cabinet will also feature a delicious limited edition lamington truffle!

The traditional 'pav' will be given a Chocolaterie twist via their special smashed pavlova sundae. Fancy something savoury? Try the Great Aussie Burger! Look out for the Bush Tucker chocolate collection too, where native Australian ingredients such as lemon myrtle, wattle seed, blue gum smoke oil and bush tomato combine with fine dark, milk and white couverture chocolate to create a most unique souvenir.  No bookings in the Cafe.

Yarra Yering Cellar Door

Saturday 23rd – Tuesday 26th January 2016

This year we will be celebrating Australia Day at Yarra Yering Cellar Door by honing in on the two most predominant grape varieties grown in Australia; Chardonnay and Shiraz.

Yarra Yering have had both these varieties planted since 1969, some of the oldest in the Yarra Valley, and we’ll have some older vintages on tasting over the Australia Day weekend.

The Australia Day Tasting is $20 per person and includes a tasting of at least 12 wines, including back vintages, and an Aussie Cheese & Fruit platter.
