Four Pillars was established with a focus on gin. But great gin doesn’t just make itself. Four Pillars recognised that the real focus would need to be on the craft of distilling. If they could elevate this area of expertise in Australia, and bring a modern Australian sensibility to the process, then maybe they could make a gin worth shouting about.
In October 2015, Four Pillars moved into their new home, a gorgeous old timber yard on the main drag of Healesville, about an hour's drive from Melbourne. The Four Pillars Distillery houses an original copper still called Wilma and her two new siblings, Jude and Eileen. All three of the stills are manufactured by Carl in Germany and deliver unbelievable purity of spirit, drawing extraordinary botanical flavour from the combination of rare, native and traditional botanicals we use.
Currently, Four Pillars has six gins in their range (and counting) as well as two marmalades that are made using the fresh organic oranges that are steamed during the distillation process. Everything is designed to elevate the craft of distilling in Australia. The judges at prestigious international competitions must think so, as since the launch in 2013 their three main variants have won gold medals at major competitions around the world.
Come see and taste it all for yourself. The distillery also houses a fully functioning tasting room and a bar serving Gin & Tonic paddles, build-your own Negronis, Scotty's Ginger Mules, beer, wine, tea, coffee and really good nuts and olives. There are also tours, masterclasses and all manner of fun.

Walk-in tastings are available at $10/person (refundable with purchase of any 700mL bottle of gin).
