Strawberries available for U-pick all year round at Gateway Estate
Our U-pick strawberries are grown indoors out of the cold and rain, so you can pick them any time of year.  It's a great activity with the kids to show them where strawberries come from and it's affordable too as there's no entry fee, you just pay for what you pick.

We recommend you check with us before you come, to see if we have plenty of strawberries available for picking - as it depends where the plants are in their growing cycle, and whether we've had large amounts of visitors picking (such as peak season/school holidays).  Call us on 03 9739 0568 or check our website.

Fresh Produce
We sell a fantastic selection of whatever's fresh and in season in the Yarra Valley.  Choose from the best local Yarra Valley berries, apples, stonefruit, vegetables and fruit - the shelves at our gourmet farmgate shop are constantly changing.  All the produce you see in our shop and served in our café, has been sourced with the lowest food miles possible - either grown or made here on the farm, from Yarra Valley growers/producers, or within Victoria and Australia.

We also stock an extensive range of quality artisan produce - gourmet breads, small goods, deli items, fresh pasta, bikkies, free range eggs, local coffees/teas, and we always have items available on tasting, and which you can enjoy in our cafe.

See it growing at our property
As we’re a working farm, you may even get to see some of our produce growing (happy cows grazing in the paddocks, strawberries you can pick, capsicum & basil growing in the hothouses). We sell our aged beef at our farmgate and will happily cut to order including whole sides and quarters.  Our mince is all premium quality and free of preservatives, and you buy with the assurance you know where it came from - from our paddock to your plate.

Our cafe is within our farmgate store and has views into the strawberry greenhouses, so you can sit and enjoy the fruits of your U-pick labours with a cold drink, local organic tea or coffee and delicious local handmade cakes and biscuits
