Maroondah features gardens with stands of native and exotic trees, native animals and birds and walking tracks. Its playground, lawns and cool summer shade make it a popular picnic destination in warmer months.
Maroondah Reservoir Park is open daily at the following times:
1 December to 31 January - 8:00am to 9:00pm
1 February to end of daylight saving (first Sunday in April) - 8:00am to 8:00pm
End of daylight saving (first Sunday in April) to 30 April - 8:00am to 6:00pm
1 May to 31 August - 8:00am to 5:00pm
1 September to start of daylight saving (first Sunday in October) - 8:00am to 6:00pm
Start of daylight saving (first Sunday in October) to 30 November - 8:00am to 8:00pm
There are a number of activities which are available including trails, walks and sight-seeing.
Maroondah Reservoir is a generally accessible park. The park has good gravel paths (though steep in places), and a high standard of furniture.
The Rose Steps Rotunda is the most accessible of all the rotundas in the park. This a a good spot for a picnic or barbecue.
There are designated accessible toilets nearby.
