The New Federal Mill dominated the sawmilling industry in the Warburton area for almost 15 years. Its closure in 1949 signaled the end of the timber tramway era.
From Ada No.2 Mill, explore the extensive mill remnants, and the bridge over the Ada River 150m further on. Return to Federal Crossing and turn right for the New Federal Mill site. There is a stone crossing over the Little Ada River which may be difficult after heavy rain.
