Badger Creek

Badger Creek is where the internationally famous Healesville Sanctuary is situated and backs onto the significant Coranderrk bushland. Explore Badger Weir or indulge at the Badger Creek Blueberry Farm - where you may even find some cider too.


Buxton is home to the famous Buxton Trout & Salmon Farm, the first trout farm in Australia. It's a wonderful quiet rural spot with a backdrop of the Cathedral Ranges only another 9kms away. It's the perfect place to stop and hide away in nature.

Christmas Hills

Christmas Hills is located between Kangaroo Ground and Yarra Glen, along Eltham-Yarra Glen Road north of the Yarra River. In 1904, the Australian Handbook described Christmas Hills as “an excellent health resort”

Chum Creek

Chum Creek is set just five minutes out of Healesville, heading up the hill towards Toolangi. Walking tracks flank the road and it's a well used starting point for cyclists wanting a moderately steep ride in scenic surroundings


Coldstream sits at the point where the Maroondah Highway and the Melba Highway meet, and then meanders through and takes in some extraordinary and significant gems of the Yarra Valley. Diamond Creek

Diamond Creek, abutting its gently flowing namesake, is literally where town and country meet.


Eltham is renowned for its green spaces, art community and family-friendly feel. Only 19 km north east of Melbourne’s CBD, it is doorway to a densely treed region dubbed ‘the green wedge’ or ‘Melbourne’s lungs’.


Gruyere is a premium wine growing area just behind Coldstream on the Maroondah highway and Wandin on the Warburton highway. It has strong farming and agricultural roots with a variety of products such as apples, pears, citrus and cattle


Located just under an hour from Melbourne, and right in the centre of the Yarra Valley food and wine district, Healesville is a popular tourist destination.

Hoddles Creek

Hoddles Creek is quickly becoming known as a premium grape growing area as more of our top end producers choose vineyards form this area.


Hurstbridge Village is in the heart of rural Nillumbik. Discover the Hurstbridge Heritage Trail, or visit on the first Sunday of the month for the Hurstbridge Farmers' Market.

Kangaroo Ground

Kangaroo Ground has an excellent general store that is also a café stop, petrol and newsagent. Kangaroo Ground War Memorial Park is a war memorial occupying Garden Hill, that offers excellent views.


The first thing you need to know about Kinglake - there is no lake! Kinglake was actually named after British historian Alexander William Kinglake, whose eight-volume history of the Crimean War had recently been completed. Kinglake is comprised of forest, farmland, a national park and a strong community driven township.

Launching Place

Launching Place has many outdoor areas where families can go, hiking, bike riding or boating in the Yarra River. It's possible to try your hand at archery or find yourself on the Warburton-Lilydale Rail Trail for cycling, walking and jogging.


Lilydale is the gateway to both the Dandenong Ranges and the Yarra Valley. With a busy train line from Melbourne operating early until late it's an ultimately very accessible entrance to the region.


Located only 90 minutes drive from Melbourne in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Marysville and surrounds is an ideal destination for lovers of nature and the outdoors.


Millgrove is located beneath the forested mountains of Donna Buang, Ben Cairn and Mount Little Joe and sits on the pristine Yarra River. Millgrove is a very scenic location that offers cycling, canoeing and bushwalking opportunities for people of all levels of fitness.

Mount Evelyn

Located less than an hour from Melbourne and right in the heart of the Yarra Valley and the Dandenongs, the village of Mount Evelyn is a hidden gem which has much to offer visitors including stunning views of mountains and valleys.


Narbethong is found on the Maroondah highway under two hours away from Melbourne and only twenty minutes, and a spectacular drive through the stunning Black Spur, from Healesville.
