WARBURTON DRIVE (with a few local secret short cuts)

Warburton is a pretty village on the banks of the Yarra River at the base on Mt Donna Buang with easy access to walks, cycling and the national parks of the region. It is a pleasant 30 kilometre drive on the Warburton Highway (B380), which starts on the east side of Lilydale and is well signed.

Fruit straight from the grower is worth driving for! The Dandenong Ranges is ‘Destination Food Bowl’ for those in search of the juiciest, the best and the freshest.


While the drive to Marysville is a stunning journey through the Black Spur (see drive), there is every reason to continue on beyond Marysville and discover the pretty alpine region of Lake Mountain. In winter, Lake Mountain is one of the closest snow destination to Melbourne.

The Gembrook Loop Drive

For those looking to cover some distance and find long stretches of country roads with stunning views, the Gembrook loop drive is a perfect roadtrip

Yarra Scenic Drive #2 to Warrandyte

The mouth of the Yarra River at Pt Gellibrand is the start of this scenic drive that traces the winding Yarra River from its Port Philip outlet up into the mountains to Warrandyte, a journey of about 60 kilometres.
